Creating a stable and sustainable economic system is a challenging task. We believe that a well-balanced economy is essential for the game's long-term success.
While BATTLE PASS is a ecosystem for a fun games, it's also taken on characteristics of a social network and earning platform due to the strong community and opportunity to truly own resources earned within the games. We believe that players should be able to earn real value for their time invested in the game.
A key difference between BATTLE PASS and a traditional game systems is that economic design unlocks the ability to have complex player-owned economies and reward players who are able to reach advanced levels of skill. Players are able to have fun and work towards ambitious goals while simultaneously earning potential resources that will have real monetary value due to an open economic system and demand from other players - “Play-and-Earn”.

MUTINY features fast-paced, skill-based combat, combined with the isometric view, set in a persistent survival RPG fantasy universe. Whether you are a free-to-play player or a driving force in the bustling economy, we have built a universe that ensures a vibrant and thriving ecosystem for everyone to benefit from. From rare and in-demand cosmetic items to dynamic land ownership, social emotes, and Virtual Collectables, players will have the chance to acquire, trade, and shape their gaming experience. This immersive survival RPG puts the power of the game in the hands of its players, creating an exciting and dynamic experience unlike any other. The game's rich landscape is filled with opportunities for players to grow and succeed. Acquiring collectibles, which can be earned through various gameplay challenges. By trading these collectibles for in-game currency ($SKL) or showcasing their in-game items, players have a unique chance to demonstrate their skills and increase their standing in the community.
The play-to-earn model addresses key challenges of free-to-play games by offering incentives to players. At the same time, it leverages free-to-play monetization loops, onboarding processes, and engaging gameplay. To appeal to the traditional gaming audience, the entry barrier must be significantly lowered. Since the conversion rate for non-blockchain users remains disappointingly low, games should rethink player interactions to make them more accessible and user-friendly. This presents a tremendous opportunity to attract a vast gaming audience. That’s why MUTINY is designed to be free to play.
Our primary goal is to provide a welcoming environment for players while minimizing any obstacles. No previous blockchain knowledge or financial investment is necessary to begin playing and earning rewards. In MUTINY, this allows players to advance through the game without any upfront investment, instead making progress by dedicating their time to gameplay.
By default, in-game assets remain off-chain and don’t need to be minted as NFTs for regular use. However, players have the option to mint their assets, giving them full ownership and the ability to trade if they choose. This flexible system ensures that all players can enjoy the game on their own terms, regardless of whether they have a wallet or not.
MUTINY delivers engaging and competitive gameplay. Giving players ownership of in-game assets enhances the experience, opening up opportunities for a player-driven economy while maintaining a well-balanced incentives and rewards system to encourage activity. The game’s diverse player archetypes (players, workers, competitors, opportunists, and breeders) and consistent updates further contribute to its growth potential. Our goal is to greatly enhance onboarding for non-blockchain players and raise the bar for web3 gaming.
BATTLE PASS leverages a hybrid economy model, combining traditional web2 gaming hooks with web3 ownership, creating consistent demand and utility for the $SKL token. With seamless web2-to-web3 integration, a slick UI, and easy onboarding, BATTLE PASS removes the barriers of web3, making blockchain features feel natural and intuitive.
The utility of the $SKL token is a crucial component of the economy. A web3 project's token must be deeply integrated into the gameplay to ensure a continuous demand for it. Token incentives, not rewards – we have seen many cases where uncontrolled token issuance and the absence of proper sinks led to inflation spirals. Tokens should serve as a stimulus for activities that sustain the economy and enhance player engagement. Leagues and leaderboard rewards provide a fair incentive for players to fully immerse themselves in the game, following the "Play-to-Airdrop" model. Progression-based rewards establish a direct link between investments and earned rewards, making them a key driver of advancement. Players will naturally strive for greater rewards, which will require them to invest in the game, whether through time, skills, or financial resources. Progression is closely tied to the token, completing the economic loop: to advance in the game and unlock higher rewards, players will need to acquire and utilize tokens.
